Aubrey's Wedding

in , by Gavin and Kylie Plus 4, 8:13 PM
My cousin, Aubrey, got married to her high school sweetheart, Michael, in San Diego at the end of March.  She is way more adventurous that me and moved out there after high school at the age of 17.  She also went to culinary and pastry school and enjoys making food that I can't even pronounce.  To say we couldn't be more opposite is an understatement.  :-)  If you know me at all, you know that I despise being in the kitchen!

A couple weeks before the wedding, we received a pretty cool package in the mail.  It was a bib that said, "Ring Security" and a pair of suspenders.  They asked T to be the ring bearer in the wedding and we couldn't have been more thrilled to get our little man all dressed up for the occasion.

He certainly doesn't mind people looking at him so he smiled all the way down the aisle as the two older ring bearers pulled him in a wagon.  They were too cute to handle.

These two goofballs wouldn't take a "normal" picture so this is what they get!

Their wedding was held in the backyard of a century old home that over looked the ocean.  It was absolutely breathtaking.  The intimate setting and small guest list was something that will be hard to beat.  They also had a family style meal that was nothing short of amazing.

We wish you the absolute best, Aubrey and Michael, and we love you both!

Treyton Lee--Month 8

The past eight months have definitely changed our lives forever.  We can't quite imagine our lives before T entered our world and we wouldn't change it for anything.  We thank God every day for choosing us to be his parents!  He sure is one happy little boy who is really starting to show us his attitude.  I swear he got it from his dad!

I struggled a bit to just pick one or two....

We flew to San Diego, California on March 17th for Aubrey and Michael's wedding.  The weather was beautiful and Treyton did great on all four of our flights.  He certainly made friends with the flight attendants and the people around us.  While he didn't cry, he certainly jabbered loudly several times.  I think we avoided making the people around us mad at least.  We may be a little biased but he made a pretty cute ring bearer.

There was no shortage of spoiling on Easter!

Unfortunately, Treyton and I were playing in the shop with Simbah one evening when he seized up and passed away.  We will forever miss him and I am super glad that I have some pictures of the two together.  Simbah couldn't contain his excitement when Treyton came to play.

Tearing up paper is one of his strongest skill sets currently!

His facial expressions kill me!

At the airport in Des Moines and ready to head to San Diego.

Treyton's first flight!

The time change messed us up a bit so we got to hang out in the lobby of our hotel from 4:30 to about 6:00 every morning. :-)  We knew the front desk lady pretty well by the time we left.

It was too bright but Treyton's first time at the beach and seeing the ocean.  It was a dog friendly beach so he really just watched the dogs playing fetch.

So happy to get off of his back!

Sunday naps are my favorite!

Dad got to experience a massive blowout that got everything in sight dirty!

Just practicing those basketball skills for Grandpa Dennis

The Easter Bunny came!

3 ring circus!

Loved every minute of getting to sit like a big boy at Target.  So much so that he wouldn't even look at me for a picture.

When you don't have pants at Nate and Kerstin's, you get to wear your cousin Elin's leggings. :-)

After losing Simbah, I couldn't leave Rajah down in the shop by herself.  It took her approximately half of a meal time to figure out where she should be.

Got switched over to a big boy carseat and loves every minute of being able to see out the window.

Dancing to music at with Grandma Linda

He finally figured out how to make this thing moved and we haven't stopped him since.

Dad and Uncle Nate were cleaning up the yard so we took some wagon rides.

Pulled himself up there on his own.  I'm seeing lots of goose eggs in our future.

Doesn't quite know what to do once he gets here.  Like our new carpet?!

Misworded Snapchat....  But this couldn't have been comfortable.

Poor Rajah is going to take a beating.

A monster and his sidekick!

I'm 8 months old and love to snuggle on Sunday mornings before church in Mom and Dad's bed.
