There are a lot of things that I have had to "let go" of a bit or delegate in this season of life. Cleaning is one of those areas and I am not ashamed to admit that we have someone come in and clean the main level of our house every other week. With that being said, we still have four small children, two large dogs, and we spend a lot of time in our house. I still clean parts of our house every single day and still never really feel caught up. So today, I have rounded up my FAVORITE cleaning products and tools and am linking up with Andrea and Erika for FRIDAY FAVORITES!

Friday Favorites
Eeek! I am excited to link up to this party again because it has been a hot minute! I feel like over the last couple of weeks I have had A LOT of favorites so going to attempt to put them all in one place over the next couple of weeks! This week a majority of my time has been focused on Easter, which may be my second favorite holiday--right after Christmas. I mean, there aren't two holidays more focused on Jesus and getting to celebrate his birth and rising into heaven is so special!
I am excited to share some of my favorite gift finds from last year and this year in case you are still looking for anything! I got hooked on The Home Edit on Netflix at some point during our quarantine which led me to organizing just about every nook and cranny of our house. My biggest successes of all of this were our pantry and our kids' toys! Their toys were in about 18 different locations in our house, none of the same toy were located together so I felt like they dumped them and then never played with them. Insert Home Edit and they are now sorted into tubs and my kids are only allowed to get two tubs out at a time. You're asking what this has to do with Friday Favorites? Well, it has really solidified which toys my kids play with and really like because the same tubs are out routinely.
Happy Friday!!!
As of this morning, I have 6 days left with students! Oofta! I love my job. I really do! But going to school in June...June 7th...is just a tad painful. We had 9 snow days which has led me to working until June 10th. I enjoyed every minute of our snow days and am paying the price now. It is supposed to be 85 today and without air conditioning and prepubescent 9 years olds, my classroom smells grand my 3pm. You can almost smell it as you're reading this, can't you?! ;-)
On to some Friday Favorites now that I put that awesome picture in your mind! Lol!
I am linking up with Andrea at Momfessionals today!
Our ski club friends become much like family as we spend every weekend with them! These 4 had a play date before Memorial Day weekend since we didn't have our campers in yet. This picture makes me sooo happy! Some of my absolute best friends growing up were my ski club friends, and I love that my kids are going to have that too.
Due to Trynlee being in the hospital on Mother's Day, I got to plant my flowers the next weekend. It was beautiful and our kids had a blast playing in the dirt and just being outside! If you are local, I have had such good luck at Dew on the Roses greenhouse.
Power tool?! So shocking that he loves it!
This gator has so so many miles on it! We haven't really let the girls ride with Treyton but Gavin followed him around for a bit and let Trynlee ride. She was in heaven!
Our favorite Californians came home for a long weekend and while we didn't get to spend a bunch of time with them, it sure was wonderful!
BEST PURCHASE EVER!! If you have little kids and don't have a water table. Stop reading right now. Click on THIS link and get yourself one! You will thank yourself later! I can't explain how much our kids LOVE this thing!
We have had a water table for several years but I couldn't find it to save my life so ended up ordering a new one.
So glad I did! This one is a little bit bigger which allows all three of them room to play. Taylor, especially, could stand and play at it for a long time. She inevitably is drenched every single time but it entertains them for a long time!
Because when you're three, you apparently can't just smile for a picture!
It is now on our back deck and allows me to be in the kitchen and watch them play while I get supper going. #hallelujah
I'm afraid we are going to have to purchase a second one of these in the near future!
The weather was finally nice enough Memorial Day weekend, and we got to enjoy the river! It was such a great couple of days getting to relax. Treyton played in the sand most of the time, and the girls were just ecstatic to roam around...and eat watermelon. Lots of watermelon!
Lunch with friends if our favorite! If you're looking for a great kid's picnic table, HERE is the one we have at home. It folds up flat and is sturdy.
Gavin's brother, Jamison, and his girlfriend, Payton, have lived with us for most of the school year. While I was hesitant about the idea at first, as our house just seems so chaotic at times, it has been wonderful! Their house is just about finished and they will be moving out in just a couple of weeks. I have enjoyed having them around to chat with, extra sets of eyes and hands, late night games of Catan, and an extra lawn mower. But while I will miss having them around, our kids are going to miss them more! Our kids stand at the top of the stairs and wait for them in the morning and any other time they can hear them downstairs.
We went to check out their house the other night and their awesome yard. Jamison has been telling Treyton for weeks that he has an awesome sandbox, and Treyton has really struggled to understand that it is just their entire yard. He's got a much better idea of it now.
Taylor shockingly went straight for the puddle!
And Treyton threw rocks in the water!
Lucky for us, or them, they are only moving a couple of miles down the road so they won't be getting rid of us anytime soon! I might be in the process of making a slumber party at their house sounding like a really fun idea for Treyton! :-)
Have a fantastic weekend, and I hope the weather is treating you well!
I'm linking up again today for another edition of Friday Favorites!! Easter was by far a favorite but I've done my fair share of post those pictures so I've got a random selection of stuff for today's post!
I've been trying really hard to get back to clean eating this week! It just blows my mind how great I feel when I do this! Now if all of the Easter candy would vanish from my house, I'd be golden! These are all from Kara Swanson at Life Well Lived and are SUPER simple and decently quick to make.
Lemon Asparagus Chicken
Shrimp Veggie Tacos
Bruschetta Chicken
I know there will be a day (too soon) that I don't enjoy their love for shoes, but for right now it is adorable and rather entertaining. Every night, they pull out just about every pair of shoes in their drawer and try them all on. Last night, Taylor had a snow boot and a sparkly Mary Jane shoe on...at one time.
Gavin has been getting home late from the farm this week so hasn't been getting up to work out with me. I came upstairs to this one morning and I just LOVE when our kids wake up a bit early for some snuggles. Trynlee has been really attached to me lately so Gav enjoyed every minute of this.
The weather! Plain and simple has been a favorite this week! It hasn't been perfect by any means but we have been in dire need of some Vitamin D. I might finally be able to put their snow pants away. Just kidding! We have snow in the forecast on Saturday! #WHYYYYYYY
This steamer has changed my life and it has been a new morning FAVORITE!! I hate ironing just about as much as I hate laundry so this has eased the pain a little bit. If you don't have one, I highly recommend getting one. It was only $22 on Amazon. Click HERE for the link.
Getting Snapchats like this during the day are another FAVORITE! I love that they get to go out and do things once in a while!
I don't think this is really a favorite but it did give me a good laugh. Taylor is always throwing Mya food but she took it to a whole new level last night when she was feeding her straight from her fork...over and over.
Nothing says Spring like fresh cut flowers!
Have a fantastic FRIDAY and enjoy every minute of your weekend! We have lots of rain in the forecast so Gavin might actually be home some which I am excited for.
This week has flown by, yet I am thankful it is Friday. I am ready for a weekend with my kiddos at home! I am linking up for Friday Favorites today!
While I know the quality of this picture is terrible, we've still been talking lots about "dancing"--aka running around outside--at the wedding! I loved my dress as well and the price couldn't be beat. I definitely recommend Lulus.
Getting to spend time with my cousins was wonderful!
When we got home Sunday, Gavin and I were really looking forward to the house picking up itself and our kids putting themselves to bed. HA! This kid was ready to GO after spending the day in the car! Magnatiles continue to be a big hit at our house!
While I had great intentions of getting groceries ordered over the weekend, it didn't happen and our fridge was empty! That meant these three got to join me at the grocery store after work on Monday. I LOVEEEE my kids. I, however, do not love taking them to the grocery store. Did you know though that you can get a cookie from the bakery at HyVee for your tag alongs?! Seriously a life saver! Treyton also spotted his favorite "donut store" juice (Gavin always gets him one of these and a donut from Kwik Star on their way to the farm.) so I grabbed each of them one of these and paid for three empty bottles at the cash register. Totally worth them sitting happily in the cart while I darted around grabbing enough to get us through the week.
If you missed my Let's Look post from earlier in the week, you can read it HERE. Our pantry is definitely a FAVORITE thing about our house.
The giggles that I hear come from the pantry are also a FAVORITE of mine. I don't know why they like playing in there so much, but they do! All three of them go in, close the doors, and take things off the shelves and rearrange everything.
It's typically a small disaster by the end of the night but the fact that they entertain themselves so well in there is worth it.
Trynlee has really mastered using a fork, and the spaghetti that Gavin made Wednesday night was definitely her FAVORITE! She devoured several servings.
Taylor is still working on the whole fork thing but a FAVORITE of hers at supper time is feeding the dog. :-)
My cousin, Aubrey, came back from San Diego for our cousin Jenni's wedding and then spent the week at home. She's a pastry chef and is killing it at her new business. She asked if she could use our kitchen and left us with lots of goodies.
Our kids sniffed these bad boys out the second we walked in the door, so we all enjoyed a treat as I got supper going. It's all about moderation right?! Cookies at the grocery store on Monday and cookies before supper on Thursday..
They definitely approved of the cookies! She even left us a couple dozen in the fridge that Gavin baked when he got home. They're sooo good. My kids are going to be disappointed the next time I make cookies.
Treyton got this excavator for Christmas, I believe! It came as pieces and was a kit to put together so I stashed it away in his closet for a rainy day activity. He's been begging to put it together with Gavin for a couple of weeks, and thanks to Mother Nature's, we had just the night to get it out.
Side note--I put a lot of my kids' birthday and Christmas presents away without getting them out of the box. After Treyton's first couple of holidays, it was very apparent that he got overwhelmed with everything and then didn't really play with any of it. We let them open a couple of their favorites and then stash everything else away. We then slowly pull out the rest of them over the next couple of months. We are SUPER APPRECIATIVE of everything that our family gets them, and I swear that they play with the toys SO MUCH MORE by doing this. Instead of having a dozen new things at once, we pull out one at a time, and each item gets that "new toy" excitement.
I took this screenshot from a video actually which is why it is a bit blurry. Our girls are starting to interact with and babble at each other more and more, and I love getting to see their relationship form.
This blurry photo is also from a video. Probably our FAVORITE thing of the week was the weather we had Monday and Tuesday. We spent almost every minute of each night outside, got to bed a bit late, and loved every minute of the fresh air. After our 237 month winter, it felt so good to be outside without bundling up. Mother Nature didn't want us to get too comfortable though. The last two days have been 40, super windy, with lots of rain and strong winds.
The girls are getting a little more comfortable walking around in the grass and exploring our yard....and even the field.
Have a fabulous Friday and enjoy every minute of your weekend! I will be back on Monday with a Weekend Recap!
