Eeeek!!!

In November, we shared with our family and friends that we are SOOO excited (and maybe a little bit crazy) to be welcoming Baby Steege # 4 into our family in May!

We let Treyton call all of his grandparents, family, and closest friends and let them know!

We had some family pictures taken to help spread the news as well.  Beth captured all of these pictures in less than 10 minutes, 20 feet from our garage, with the combine parked 6 rows over!

Weekend Recap--Hash Brown Wedding Edition

in , , by Gavin and Kylie Plus 4, 4:30 AM
My cousin, Jenni, and her fiance, Christopher, tied the know this past weekend, and I was honored to be apart of their big day.  they live in Kansas City and got married at the Boulevard Brewery!  It was absolutely beautiful and the day was perfect!

I officially was TERRIBLE at taking pictures!  My phone was tucked away in a back room most of the wedding and reception.

I took the day off on Friday so that we could make the drive down for the beginning of the festivities.  Gavin had a meeting right away in the morning though and said Treyton could tag along.  I honestly have no idea what the meeting was, couldn't have been overly important as Treyton NEVER stops asking questions on the job site.  Treyton insisted that he wore every piece of clothing that Gavin was wearing....including tall black socks.  See his hammer and tools that he was taking along as well?!
When we got to Kansas City, Gavin dropped me off at a restaurant with Jenni and the rest of the bridesmaids.  We did a little wine tasting and had dinner.  The food was DELICIOUS, and I was reminded that I still don't like wine.
I may or may not have kept the car key with me as Gavin drove away.  He remembered several blocks away and thankfully called to check.  My car will stay running without the key but as soon as you shut it off, it won't turn back on.  #oops They made it back to the wine bar and then headed out for the hotel, for the second time.  At this point, they were totally over being in the car and were hangry.  I called KC Kitchen and Pizzeria and ordered them a pizza to be delivered for when they got there.

After some continental breakfast, I Ubered to spend the day with the bridal party!  We made place cards, finished up bouquets, and got our hair done.
I don't have any pictures of the actual ceremony or at Boulevard but had my mom snag some pictures of us out on the terrace where they had their ceremony.
This was about as good as it got! We moved Tryn forward but then no one was looking... #justlookatthecamera #andsmile
We attempted to get a picture of just the two of us.  It went really well as you can see.
My kids adore my grandparents and we are so thankful that they are apart of our lives!  The girls thought they were pretty big stuff sitting up there with Grandpa.
Treyton NEVER stopped moving the entire night.  He could either be found on the dance floor or sprinting back and forth on the terrace.  Or eat cookies.  Lots of cookies.
My cousin, Aubrey, lives in San Diego and has her own pastry and dessert company.  She made all of the cookies for the wedding. I'd hate to know how many my kids and myself ate throughout the night.
She tried really hard to win Trynlee over by the end of the night.  Taylor loved her!
Trynlee enjoyed several cookies.
Didn't my grandma look beautiful?!  So thankful for all of their help all weekend!
Oh hey!  One picture of the happy couple!
And one last picture of Trynee and me hanging out outside as it was WAYYY past their bedtime!  See her hair?!  She was over have a pony in.

We attempted to snag a cousin picture.  The lights in the background didn't really do us any favors.
Missing a couple but probably the most that have been in one spot in quite some time!
Jenni and Christopher--We are so happy for you and wish you lots of love and happiness in the years to come!!  We love you!

Trip to LA: Disneyland!!

The day we were all sooo excited about!

DISNEYLAND!!!

We started our morning off early and left our house by 6:30 so that we could make it there, get parked, and to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast with the characters.  If you had asked Treyton before our trip what we were going to be doing, we would have told you we were going to eat breakfast with Goofy.  He was sooooo excited!  In fact, he thought Goofy lived with Kolton and Emmy for quite some time prior to our trip.
It took us about an hour and a half to get there and then parking became a real big struggle.  Next time, I will plan out where we are going to park as well.  We lost Kolton in traffic so we were both trying to find the same spot.  Needless to say, our 20 minutes to get parked and to Goofy's kitchen turned into 5 minutes and I power walked with a double stroller a mile and a half to get there with only a couple of minutes to spare before they let our reservation go.  Ooofta!  I was panicking that Treyton wasn't going to get to do the one thing he was most excited bout.

Breakfast went great!  Treyton actually got close to the characters, and I got the chance to stop sweating from my unplanned workout!
When Uncle Kolt and Emmy take you to the breakfast buffet, you come back with an ice cream cone.  It was vacation, right?!

After breakfast, we made the quick walk through Downtown Disney and into the park!  And holy moly, the sea of strollers was unbelievable!  If nothing else, my faith in humanity was restored a bit as we left our stroller completely packed with our belongings in stroller parking at every ride throughout the day and came back to everything still there.

Guys!  Disney, plain and simple, has things figured out!  They know how to get people in line effectively.  It's clean.  The "cast members" aka workers know the ins and outs of everything.  And it was super clean!
My one piece of advice--get the FAST PASS!  It is worth every stinking penny!  We were able to ride double the amount of rides and the wait times were manageable with three little kids only because we all had fast passes.  Almost every ride had two lines--the standby lane and the fast pass lane.  The fast pass lane moved remarkably faster.  Emmy was a pro at securing us fast passes as quickly as she could and knew what rides Treyton would be able to ride.  It was all done through their app and we were able to link our group in our apps so that she could get all of us a fast pass for the same ride.   It only allows you to have a fast pass for one ride at a time and will only allow you to get one every so often, so you have to check back in on your phone throughout the day.  It was slick and easy to use.
Treyton's favorite ride by far was Buzz Lightyears.  He could have rode it all day and was disappointed he was able to ride it two times in a row like at Six Flags.  We were able to ride it 3 or 4 different times though with Fast Passes.  You ride in a cart and had a gun to shoot at targets throughout the ride.  My brother and Emmy have even researched how to get the most points on the ride.  They are slightly competitive.
We attempted to buy him several different things throughout the day, and the whole time the only thing he wanted was a skidloader.  #notshocking After riding the Buzz ride several times though, he did finally want a Buzz arm.  It can grab and spin and we has played with it nonstop since he got it.
These pictures of the girls accurately describe their personalities right now!
The girls took some decent stroller naps while we continued to ride some rides so we just traded off who stayed with them and who went on the ride.
Experiencing Disney with a 3 year old was truly magical.  No, he wasn't old enough or tall enough to do a lot of things, but he was just so excited about everything he did get to do.  We would be standing in line for something, and he would whisper to Gavin and I that he loved us.
Gosh I love this little boy so much!

We had such a fun day!  I am excited to go to Disney World and/or possibly a Disney cruise in the future when they are all a bit older as well!  I remember it from when I was younger and I know they will love that just as much.

Tomorrow, I will have our last couple of days in LA!  Make sure you check back to see what we were up to!

Aubrey's Wedding

in , by Gavin and Kylie Plus 4, 8:13 PM
My cousin, Aubrey, got married to her high school sweetheart, Michael, in San Diego at the end of March.  She is way more adventurous that me and moved out there after high school at the age of 17.  She also went to culinary and pastry school and enjoys making food that I can't even pronounce.  To say we couldn't be more opposite is an understatement.  :-)  If you know me at all, you know that I despise being in the kitchen!

A couple weeks before the wedding, we received a pretty cool package in the mail.  It was a bib that said, "Ring Security" and a pair of suspenders.  They asked T to be the ring bearer in the wedding and we couldn't have been more thrilled to get our little man all dressed up for the occasion.

He certainly doesn't mind people looking at him so he smiled all the way down the aisle as the two older ring bearers pulled him in a wagon.  They were too cute to handle.

These two goofballs wouldn't take a "normal" picture so this is what they get!

Their wedding was held in the backyard of a century old home that over looked the ocean.  It was absolutely breathtaking.  The intimate setting and small guest list was something that will be hard to beat.  They also had a family style meal that was nothing short of amazing.

We wish you the absolute best, Aubrey and Michael, and we love you both!
